Babcock Alerts Students to Fake ₦250,000 SIWES Fee Notice

Babcock University has warned students against a fake notice circulating on campus demanding ₦250,000 as a “SIWES Programme Support Fee”.

In a statement by Dr Joshua Suleiman, Director of Marketing and Communications, the university described the notice as “fake, fraudulent, and ill-motivated,” clarifying that it neither originated from his office nor bore his signature.

Suleiman condemned the perpetrators for attempting to deceive students and parents, stressing that the university had not authorised such payment.

He urged students, parents and guardians to disregard the notice and avoid making payments into unauthorised accounts, reassuring the institution’s commitment to transparency and student protection.
