Babcock University Expands MBA Programme

Babcock University has announced a redesigned Professional Master of Business Administration (MBA) programme that combines conventional business training with a unique focus on church and ministry management.

The programme, offered by the Department of Business Administration and Marketing, provides specialisations in operations and production management, marketing, entrepreneurship, strategic management, and human resources. Additionally, it introduces modules designed to equip students with administrative and financial management skills tailored to faith-based institutions.

According to the university, the initiative reflects its mission of “building the total man through the training of the head, heart and hand for effective leadership of society and the church.” Graduates are expected to acquire the skills to manage church operations, evaluate ministry programmes, and provide professional direction for religious organisations and related enterprises.

Entry into the MBA requires a bachelor’s degree in business or a related field, or professional qualifications such as ACA, ACCA or ANAN. Applicants without work experience will undertake a three-month internship in a recognised business organisation.

The university stated that candidates may also be required to sit for a qualifying examination covering management, general knowledge, and English proficiency before admission.
