Prof. Afolarin Ojewole, the new VC of Babcock University
Prof. Afolarin Ojewole, the new Vice Chancellor (VC) of Babcock University, Ilisan-Remo, Ogun State, has said that his tenure will focus on developing servant-leaders.
While speaking after his inauguration, he expressed, “Put simply and succinctly, my mission is to build people—building servant-leaders for a better world; building people for leadership; transforming lives.”
Noting that these kinds of leaders are highly demanded for a better world, he pleaded to be one, serving with a clear purpose, humility, and compassion.
The VC expressed that he would serve while upholding the Seventh-Day Adventist ethos of love, faith in God, integrity, inclusion, and dedicated service to humanity.
He further disclosed that his administration will leverage technology to improve efficiency and service delivery, and prioritise academic excellence, staff welfare, and character development.
