Nigerian singer, actor, and politician Bankole Wellington, popularly known as Banky W, has earned a master’s degree in Policy Management from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., United States.
The news was shared by Banky W on Tuesday through his verified Instagram account, where he posted photos from his graduation ceremony.
Banky W revealed that completing the degree was a demanding journey as he balanced full-time graduate studies, a fellowship on Capitol Hill, and raising two young children with his wife, actress Adesua Etomi-Wellington.
He welcomed their second child, Hezekiah Oluwadarasimi Wellington, during his studies in the U.S.
The artist expressed gratitude for the opportunity to study at one of the world’s top schools for public policy.
He reflected on the challenges of managing academics, family, and professional duties simultaneously but credited his faith, family, friends, and mentors for their support throughout.
He shared lessons learned, including the importance of taking time to reflect on personal growth and the idea that success is not just about reaching a goal but about who you become along the way.
