The Bauchi State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) has trained Education Management Information System (EMIS) officers from the 20 local government areas of the state on modern techniques for managing basic education data.
The workshop, held on Saturday at the SUBEB Conference Hall in Bauchi, focused on enhancing participants’ digital capacity to handle education data in line with Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) standards.
Director of Planning, Research, and Statistics at SUBEB, Ilyasu Buba, represented by EMIS Officer Hamisu Ibrahim, stated that UBEC developed the Basic Education Management Information System to enhance the collection, organisation, and analysis of educational data nationwide.
He added that the system provides a centralised digital platform covering data from early childhood care to junior secondary education across all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
