Baze University management paid a courtesy visit to the headquarters of (TETFund) in Abuja
The management of Baze University has visited the headquarters of the Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund) in Abuja to explore deeper collaboration aimed at advancing Nigeria’s higher education sector.
The delegation, led by Vice-Chancellor Professor Jamila Shu’ara, included key members of the University’s leadership team, as well as the Executive Secretary of TETFund, Arc. Sonny S.T. Echono hosted the visit. Joining virtually, Baze University Founder and Chancellor, Senator Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, commended TETFund for its support and highlighted the University’s commitment to innovation and capacity building.
“Baze University embodies diversity, religious harmony, technological advancement, and academic integrity,” the Chancellor said, noting the University maintained uninterrupted academic activities during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Professor Shu’ara praised TETFund for involving Baze University in hands-on learning programmes and assured the institution that it would continue to uphold high standards in teaching, research, and service. She described Baze as a “university of tomorrow in today,” citing its technology-driven processes, smart classrooms, accreditation by nine professional bodies, and a secure learning environment for 6,985 students and 920 staff.
Arc. Echono reaffirmed TETFund’s readiness to support Baze University’s initiatives and lauded the leadership of Senator Baba-Ahmed and the university management for advancing educational excellence in Nigeria.
