The Bank of Industry (BOI) has teamed up with education tech company CloudNotte to boost digital skills in schools across Rivers State. The goal is to improve access to quality education by giving schools modern tools and training.
At a one-day workshop in Port Harcourt called “Educators’ Insight,” over 700 school owners and teachers learned how to use digital tools to enhance teaching and learning. BOI’s Engr. Pacqueens Irabor said the initiative will help schools grow and give students the skills needed in today’s world. As part of the plan, BOI is offering up to ₦5 million in loans at 9% interest for three years. Schools can use the funds to buy computers, solar systems, and software. CloudNotte will provide training and support. CloudNotte CEO Mary Matthew stressed the need for digital change in African education and called for support from both the government and private sectors.
