Bowen University has once again demonstrated the impact of its open-door policy, which allows students to freely meet with the Vice Chancellor and lecturers to discuss both academic and personal issues.
This approach was praised by Olasupo Gospel Boluwatife, the overall best Nursing graduate of the 2025 set, during the induction of 46 new nurses by the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
Olasupo explained that being able to approach lecturers for help on complex topics and even receive personal counselling gave students the motivation to improve. She reserved generous praise for Bowen lecturers, whom she described as “knowledgeable, approachable, and supportive,” noting that encouragement and motivation are as important as hard work in the learning process.
Speaking further, she attributed her success to perseverance and the value of group discussions. She also commended Bowen University for providing an environment that inspires students to do better.
This year’s Nursing induction ceremony has further enhanced Bowen’s reputation for academic excellence and its dedication to producing outstanding healthcare professionals.
