TotalEnergies Builds New Classrooms in Anambra

TotalEnergies Upstream Nigeria Limited has constructed a modern classroom block for Model Nursery and Primary School in Igbo-Ukwu, Aguata Local Government Area, Anambra State.

The project is part of the company’s social investment programme to support government efforts in giving children quality and sustainable education.

The new building is a single-floor structure with six classrooms. Each classroom has tables and chairs for 40 pupils, white magnetic boards, and a teacher’s desk. The block also comes with two furnished offices, separate toilets for boys and girls, and wash areas designed for easy use.

Speaking about the project, TotalEnergies officials stated that the classrooms were designed not only for learning but also to promote the health and safety of pupils and staff. The oil-producing giant added that the facility will provide a comfortable environment in which children can learn more effectively.

This gesture by Total is one of many community projects by the French company across Nigeria. Moreover, it demonstrates its commitment to responsible corporate practice and community development.
