Students of Information and Media Studies at Bayero University, Kano (BUK), have asked SolaceBase Communication, publisher of SolaceBase online newspaper, for a partnership to help strengthen training in journalism, broadcasting and digital communication.
During a visit to the organisation’s Kano office on Monday, Abdussamad Ahmad Muhammad, the president of the National Association of Information and Media Studies Students (NAIMS), stated that the collaboration would provide opportunities for workshops, seminars, and practical training.
He added that the students were also seeking mentorship and internship placements to gain industry experience, alongside sponsorship support to host capacity-building events.
SolaceBase has not yet responded to the proposal.
