CIBN Strengthens Babcock Banking Education

The Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) has unveiled a 160-seat lecture theatre at Babcock University, Ilisan-Remo, Ogun State, as part of its efforts to enhance banking and finance education in the country.

The CIBN Bankers Hall, fully furnished and equipped for modern learning, was handed over to the university on Friday. CIBN President and Chairman of Council, Pius Olanrewaju, said the project reflects the institute’s commitment to nurturing the next generation of financial professionals.

“This facility goes beyond bricks and mortar; it symbolises a vision to inspire future leaders, sharpen skills, and prepare graduates for the evolving demands of the financial sector,” he said.

Mr Olanrewaju praised Babcock University for being the first private institution to join the CIBN Linkage Programme and commended Vice-Chancellor Ademola Tayo for sustaining the partnership.

He also acknowledged past presidents, council members and the Legacy Team for their contributions to the initiative, describing it as a milestone for academic and professional growth in Nigeria’s banking industry.
