Sixty teams from 10 Nigerian universities have registered for the 2025 CGMA Business Leader Challenge, organised by the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA).
Now in its third edition, the competition will see students tackle real-world business problems and present solutions before a panel of Chartered Global Management Accountants (CGMA) and industry experts.
According to the organisers, the challenge aims to equip aspiring finance and business leaders with practical skills in leadership, decision-making, critical thinking, and innovation, while providing them with a platform to demonstrate their potential.
CIMA’s Associate Director, Ijeoma Anadozie, said the initiative reflects the institute’s commitment to nurturing future finance professionals. “Hosting this edition is a proud moment for us, especially after last year’s remarkable participation of 57 teams,” she said.
The competition, which has gained traction across universities, is expected to inspire the next generation of finance leaders ready to shape global business transformation.
