The Federal Government, through the Bank of Agriculture, has launched the Renewed Hope National Agricultural Mechanisation Programme (RHAMP) to enhance food security and empower young agripreneurs.
The initiative, implemented in partnership with Heifer Nigeria, targets youth, women, and mechanisation firms by providing access to affordable tractors, implements and a three-year servicing plan through verified centres and mobile hubs.
Applications are open until November 10, 2025, via boanig.com. The programme offers flexible repayment plans, digital tracking via IoT technology and technical support to boost productivity and sustainability.
RHAMP provides 3-5-year lease options at 15% interest rates with a 25% down payment, including tailored incentives for women and youth.
President Bola Tinubu, during the earlier unveiling in June, said the scheme marked a significant stride toward modernising Nigeria’s agriculture, citing plans to deploy 2,000 tractors, 50 bulldozers, 12 mobile workshops, and 8,000 implements nationwide.
He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to achieving food sufficiency and creating sustainable rural livelihoods through mechanised farming.
