COREN inducts 61 engineering graduates of Igbinedion University, Okada, Edo State, into the council
The Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN) has inducted 61 engineering graduates of Igbinedion University, Okada, Edo State, into the council, marking their start in the engineering profession.
Prof. Sadiq Abubakar, President of COREN, represented by Prof. Sunny Onohaebi, said during the induction ceremony, “COREN developed a checklist in line with global best practices as witnessed here in Igbinedion University.”
He added, “We reassure the university administration of COREN’s resolve to rise to the occasion and maintain the attainment of the Washington Accord benchmark in the university system.”
The president encouraged the new engineers to maintain excellence and discipline in their profession.
Prof. Lawrence Ezemonye, the university’s vice chancellor, described the ceremony as the induction of a new set of innovators, nation-builders, and problem-solvers.
