Don Honoured with Fellowship

Aminu Ibrahim Sharifai, a Professor of Agronomy and Assistant Director, Extension, Monitoring and Evaluation, ABU, Zaria

Aminu Ibrahim Sharifai, a Professor of Agronomy and Assistant Director, Extension, Monitoring and Evaluation, and a member of the Institute for Agricultural Research (IAR), Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, has been honoured with the Fellowship of the Agricultural Society of Nigeria (ASN).

The conferment took place at the 59th Annual Conference of the Agricultural Society of Nigeria held at the Michael Okpara University of Agriculture, Umudike, Abia State. Sharifai was recognised for his remarkable input to agricultural research, extension, and teaching. The society also acknowledged his commitment to improving sustainable farming practices in Nigeria.

Part of his contribution to agriculture includes his leadership in improving innovation and crop production in the country, as well as the practical application of agricultural knowledge within the institute.
