Ebonyi State University (EBSU) has reinforced its ban on sign-out ceremonies and reckless driving across its four campuses. The directive was issued to ensure safety and maintain order within the university.
In a memo signed by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic, Prof. Ike-Elechi Ogba, Deans of Faculties and Heads of Departments have been instructed to monitor students closely and prevent any violations.
Students have been warned that breaking the rules could lead to severe consequences, including the outright cancellation of examinations linked to the courses being celebrated. The university insisted that the measures are in the best interest of the students and the entire university community as they are aimed at promoting discipline and safeguarding both students and campus facilities.
EBSU called on all the graduating students to lead by example and to comply strictly with the directives to avoid penalties and ensure a smooth conclusion to their academic activities.
