The Edo State Government has expressed that it is working to prevent children from engaging in cultism and other social ills by providing them with the proper training and development needed to lead the state in the future.
While at the NEPL/Seplat Empowerment Programme for teachers in Edo and Delta States, which was held in Benin, Dr Paddy Iyamu, the state Commissioner for Education, highlighted Governor Monday Okpebholo’s dedication to having a better society by building schools and recruiting teachers. He also appreciated Seplat for organising the empowerment programme, describing it as laudable and acknowledging the importance of teachers in children’s lives.
