Edwin Clark University Holds Combined Convocation, Launches ₦10bn Fund


Edwin Clark University, Kiagbodo, will hold its combined 4th to 7th convocation ceremony on November 29, 2025, in Burutu Local Government Area, Delta State.


The event marks a decade of growth for the institution and will see 463 students graduate, including 460 undergraduates, three postgraduate diploma holders, and two honorary doctorate recipients.


Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Samuel Tita Wara, described the academic session as one of “remarkable repositioning” and announced plans for a ₦10 billion endowment fund to secure long-term sustainability and expand the university’s impact in the Niger Delta.


The convocation week features the induction of the pioneer nine nursing graduates, Alumni Day, and a Convocation Lecture by Mr David Daser of the Digital Bridge Institute on “Africa’s Digital Destiny: Building Human Capital for a Connected Future.”


The ceremony will also confer honorary doctorates on Bade Adesina for innovation in financial management and High Chief Tompolo for contributions to regional security and infrastructure through Tantita Security Services.


Wara emphasised the university’s commitment to academic excellence, digital literacy, and strategic growth aligned with national and global workforce needs, describing the convocation as a milestone in Edwin Clark University’s transformation into a forward-looking, globally engaged institution.
