Eko University of Medicine and Health Sciences (EkoUNIMED) has reached a historic milestone: 12 of its students were selected as Millennium Fellows for the Class of 2025—the University’s first participation in the global leadership programme.
The Millennium Fellowship, organised by the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) and the Millennium Campus Network (MCN), saw over 60,000 applicants from more than 7,500 campuses worldwide.
This year, 4,000 Fellows from 290 campuses across 47 countries were selected to engage in leadership development and implement social impact projects aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
EkoUNIMED’s cohort successfully completed the programme, delivering impactful projects that reflect the University’s commitment to nurturing future leaders in health, innovation, and social development.
Sam Vaghar, Co-Founder and Executive Director of MCN, highlighted that the Fellowship equips students with the mindset and skills to lead meaningful social change.
