Dr Chika Yinka-Banjo of UNILAG bags Nigerian Achievement Award
Dr Chika Yinka-Banjo, Head of the Department of Computer Sciences at the University of Lagos, has been honoured with the 2025 Nigerian Achievement Award by People and Power Communications Limited, publishers of People State & Resource (PSR) Magazine.
The award recognises her outstanding contributions as a leading female voice advancing intelligence systems, STEM innovation, and ICT-driven nation-building in Africa. In 2024, she also received the PSR Woman of Merit Gold Award (WMGA).
Prof. Folasade Ogunsola, Vice-Chancellor of the University of Lagos, on behalf of the Senate, Management, Staff, and Students, congratulated Dr Yinka-Banjo and wished her continued success in her work in Artificial Intelligence, Robotics, Data Science, and Technology-Driven Entrepreneurship across Africa.
