EKSU earned second position at the 2025 Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG) Global Challenge Bowl
Ekiti State University (EKSU), Ado-Ekiti, came second at the 2025 Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG) Global Challenge Bowl.
The grand finale of the international competition was held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, with 19 universities from around the world participating.
The University of Colorado took third place, EKSU took second, while the University of Lagos (UNILAG) came first.
Prof. Adeyinka Aturamu, the head of the geology department, appreciated the students who represented the university at the competition and their coordinator.
In addition, Prof. Babatola Ayodele, the vice chancellor, congratulated the students on their success, making the university proud and boosting its global image.
Ayodele appreciated Dr Tunji Olowolafe, the chancellor, for his contributions, interventions, and capacity-building efforts in the university.
