The Vice-Chancellor of Ekiti State University (EKSU), Professor Babatola Ayodele, has lauded Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji for his “unwavering commitment” to the growth and development of the institution.

Speaking at the University’s Congregation meeting at the Main Auditorium in Ado-Ekiti, Professor Ayodele highlighted the Governor’s interventions, including the approval and timely release of increased monthly subventions, which he said have ushered in a new era of financial stability. The funding boost enabled the University to clear its entire salary and allowance backlog within a year.

Professor Ayodele also welcomed the Governor’s recent pledge to construct a state-of-the-art Faculty of Pharmacy complex, noting that contractors had already begun work on the site.

The Vice-Chancellor’s remarks, delivered during a gathering of Principal Officers, academic and non-teaching staff, emphasised the transformative impact of the Governor’s support on EKSU’s infrastructure and operations, earning resounding applause from attendees.

The University leadership described the Governor’s interventions as pivotal in strengthening the institution’s capacity to provide quality education and enhance its overall development.
