Global education leaders, including delegates from Nigeria, are set to convene in Abu Dhabi for the 2025 World Schools Summit, which aims to find lasting solutions to the world’s most pressing education challenges.
The summit, scheduled for November 15-16 at Yasmina British Academy, will bring together over 1,000 top school leaders, policymakers, NGOs, tech firms, and education advocates.
Hosted by T4 Education, Aldar Education, the Emirates Foundation, and the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF), the event will explore strategies to help children thrive in a rapidly evolving world.
Vikas Pota, founder of T4 Education, stated that the world faces defining challenges, including climate change, AI disruption, and global inequality, and that education must be at the centre of every solution.
Eunice Ogolo of CIFF emphasised the need for systemic change to enhance education outcomes across Africa, while Caroline Mutepfa of Microsoft highlighted the role of AI in empowering teachers and closing global skills gaps.
The summit will feature leading voices from Google, Cambridge University Press, Microsoft, and the Brookings Institution, and will conclude with the Global EdTech Prize, rewarding innovation in education technology.
