Experts Urge FG to Begin Climate Education

Climate advocacy experts have appealed to the Federal Government (FG) to embed climate justice into secondary schools’ curriculum.

According to them, this step will empower the young ones to fight climate change and boost environmental sustainability. The experts made the call at the national consultative workshop themed “Integrating Climate Justice into the Secondary School Curriculum,” organised by the Climate and Sustainable Development Network (CSDevNet) in Abuja.  Dr Samson Ogallah, Head of the Climate Change Unit at the African Union, said, “Education must go beyond climate science. It should build resilience, leadership, and a strong sense of justice among students.”
