The federal government (FG) has begun disbursing the Tertiary Institution Staff Support Fund (TISSF).
Mrs Folasade Boriowo, the Director of Press and Public Relations at the Federal Ministry of Education, announced the disbursement in a statement on Thursday, October 30, 2025.
In a statement, Dr Tunji Alausa, the Minister of Education, said the TISSF has transitioned from the planning stage to implementation.
The minister revealed that 9,000 teaching and non-teaching staff members across all tertiary institutions have received payments. He said, “Within just four months, payments have started going out. This is a President that delivers, and the Ministry of Education is profoundly grateful for his continuous support and commitment to staff welfare.”
In addition, he mentioned that the “fund is not merely about disbursement,” but about “restoring dignity, rewarding dedication, and rebuilding the foundation of our knowledge economy.”
