The Federal Ministry of Education has launched Inspire Live(s)!, a nationwide online real-time learning programme aimed at expanding equitable access to quality education for all Nigerian students. The initiative aligns with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Minister of Education, Tunji Alausa, confirmed that the rollout covers classes from Primary 1 to Senior Secondary 3. The platform currently hosts Junior and Senior Secondary classes, delivering lessons Monday to Friday, 8 a.m.–2:30 p.m., via Cisco Webex, taught by certified master teachers.
Subjects for Junior Secondary School include Basic Science, Mathematics, English, ICT, Agricultural Science, Basic Technology, Civic Education, French, Physical Education, Religious Studies, History, and Business Studies. Senior Secondary students can access Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, English, Economics, Geography, Agricultural Science, Technical Drawing/Catering Craft, Civic Education, and Automobile Mechanics.
The ministry directed state Commissioners for Education to nominate focal officers, circulate programme details to all schools, and ensure schools are equipped with basic ICT facilities and internet access. Registration is managed through school principals via Inspire support channels.
The programme is open to both public and private schools nationwide, providing an inclusive platform to democratise learning and address teacher shortages and educational disruptions across Nigeria.
