The Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, has emerged as Nigeria’s top tertiary institution in the latest national ranking conducted by Pole Global Marketing, an international evaluation body, based on the implementation and adoption of Blackboard, as directed by the Federal Ministry of Education.
The ranking, which assessed over 180 institutions including universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education, measured academic excellence, innovation, institutional management, and community impact.
Rector of the institution, Dr Mukail Aremu Akinde, expressed gratitude for the recognition during a media briefing on Sunday, October 5, 2025, describing it as a fitting milestone coinciding with his administration’s third anniversary.
He commended the management, staff and students for their collective efforts, while lauding the Centre for Information and Communication Technology (CICT), headed by Dr. (Mrs.) Jumoke Soyemi, for its innovative contributions.
