The National Universities Commission (NUC) has approved 26 new academic programmes for the Federal University Dutse (FUD). The new courses will begin in the 2025/2026 academic session. This was announced in a statement by the university’s Director of Public Affairs, Mr. Abdullahi Yahaya Bello. He said the approval came after NUC teams visited the school to assess its staffing and facilities.
The newly approved programmes include undergraduate degrees like B.Sc. Food Science and Technology, B.A. Arabic, B.Sc. Industrial Chemistry, and B.Sc. Industrial Mathematics. Postgraduate and doctoral courses were also approved in areas such as Chemistry, Mathematics, Fisheries and Aquaculture, Human Anatomy, and Soil Science. Other approved programmes include PGD, M.Sc., and Ph.D. in Management and Taxation, as well as an MBA and a Master’s in Fiscal Policy. This move is expected to improve education and research at FUD, giving students more options to study.
