FG Budgets N50bn for Online and Vocational Training

Students During Vocational Training

The Federal Government has put aside N50 billion in the 2025 budget to support secondary school education. Out of this amount, N40 billion will be allocated for vocational and technical training to help students acquire practical skills. The remaining N10 billion will be allocated to enhance online learning in schools across the nation.

This is part of efforts to improve digital education and give students more practical skills.

Education Minister Dr Tunji Alausa stated that the government is reforming the way technical education is conducted. Now, 80% of the training will be practical, while only 20% will be theoretical. He said this change will help students learn valuable skills for the real world. Experts say this move will enable more students to learn from anywhere and better prepare them for jobs in today’s digital age.
