Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State
Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to youth welfare and the delivery of democratic dividends during the swearing-in of 2025 Batch C NYSC members at the Permanent Orientation Camp, Nonwa-Gbam Tai, Tai LGA.
Represented by Secretary to the State Government, Benibo Anabraba, Fubara stressed that providing an enabling environment for youths to harness their potentials remains a top priority. “We will continue to prioritise the welfare of youths, especially Corps members, ensuring they benefit from opportunities that uplift their quality of life,” he said.
The governor urged the Corps members to remain exemplary, dedicated, and committed throughout their service year. He highlighted that his administration’s social contract with the people of Rivers State includes steadfast support for youth development and empowerment.
State NYSC Coordinator, Moses Oleghe, called on the corps members to actively engage in all orientation programmes, including Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development training and security lectures, noting that the service year is an opportunity to contribute to national unity and development.
