The Vice-Chancellor of Federal University of Lafia (FULafia), Professor Shehu Abdul Rahman, has been honoured with the title of Jarman Matasan Arewa / Amazon of Educational Development by the Northern Youth Association of Niagara (NYAN).
NYAN President, Comrade Godiya Adams Bogoro, stated that the award recognises Abdul Rahman’s significant contributions to youth empowerment, education, and leadership. He praised the Vice-Chancellor’s commitment to using resources wisely for national growth. Professor Abdul Rahman thanked NYAN for the honour and reaffirmed his focus on empowering students and staff to become future leaders. He urged NYAN to keep supporting youth development across the country. University officials, including the Registrar, Bursar, and University Librarian, attended the ceremony. The event ended with the Vice-Chancellor receiving the award’s insignia in a special decoration ceremony.
