Faculty of Law, FUOYE sets the pace on Orientation programme, town hall meeting with students
The Faculty of Law, Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), has set the pace in student engagement through a two-day programme that included an orientation for fresh students and a town hall meeting with all undergraduates.
The events, held on November 20–21, 2025, were led by Acting Dean, Dr. (Mrs.) Adeola Kehinde aimed to instil discipline, ethical conduct and academic focus among students.
During the orientation, faculty members, including Heads of Departments and senior staff, provided guidance on grading, dress codes, library use, and campus life. Dr Kehinde emphasised the importance of discipline, adherence to rules, and proper conduct in legal education.
The Law Students Society also engaged students on leadership, academic culture and faculty expectations.
The town hall meeting offered a platform for transparency, policy clarification, and direct interaction between students and faculty.
Speakers highlighted the zero-tolerance stance on examination malpractice and encouraged active participation in learning and research.
Students appreciated the opportunity to interact with faculty and expressed commitment to upholding professional and ethical standards.
