FUTD Engineers Attend China Seminar on Rail Transit Technology
The Federal University of Transportation, Daura (FUTD), Katsina State, has joined the international seminar on Rail Transit Intelligence Control Systems.
Members of the Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC) and the Federal Ministry of Transportation have also joined members of the FUTD.
The programme, which will run from November 20 to December 4, was organised by the China Railway Signal and Communication (CRSC) Group in Beijing, China, to showcase advanced global practices in intelligent train control technology to Nigerian engineers and scholars.
In his remarks, Mr Zhang Jingfang, the CSRC Chairman, stated that CSRC technologies are being deployed in over ten countries across four continents, including Nigeria.
Hon. Prof. Umar Adam Katsayal, mni, the Vice-Chancellor of FUTD, stated that the seminar will enhance participants’ abilities in communication and control systems, as well as modern signalling.
