The Federal University of Transportation (FUTD) has matriculated 529 students for the 2024/2025 academic session.
Delivering his speech at the matriculation ceremony, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, represented by Senator Said Alkali, Minister of Transportation, stated that the university will provide transportation education, training, and research.
He added that the institution will enhance Nigeria’s economy by applying industry practices, laws, and policies in the transport sector.
Prof. Umar Adam Katsayal, FUTD’s Vice Chancellor, in his welcome address, emphasised that the university was founded to maintain and sustain the federal and state governments’ investment in the transportation sector.
