FUTES Vice-Chancellor Requests Admission Deadline Extension

Prof. Gbenga Aribisala, the Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University of Technology and Environmental Sciences, Iyin Ekiti, Ekiti State, has pleaded with the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) to grant the institution an additional two weeks to process unattended admission requests.

“So if we have two weeks more, we will be able to accommodate some of the admission seekers crashing on us.” He emphasised that the Friday, October 31, 2025, deadline for admission processing in public universities is not working for FUTES, as it has numerous applications.

The Vice-Chancellor stated that out of its 1,500 candidate quota, it has only processed the admission of 1,200 candidates.

According to him, the university aims to begin academic activities in December, adding that recruitment for both teaching and non-teaching staff will commence soon and will run for a period of six weeks.
