Lagos recently hosted the Stationery, School and Office Supplies Expo (SCOFEX 2025), bringing together education stakeholders, traders, and exhibitors from Nigeria, Africa, and beyond. The event, held at the Landmark Event Centre on Victoria Island, focused on enhancing the education sector by utilising modern learning tools and equipment.
Organised by Tecburg Private Limited, SCOFEX 2025 aims to bridge the gap between Nigerian schools and those in other countries by introducing cutting-edge school supplies and innovative learning materials.
At a media briefing, Mrs Ngozi Adindu, Managing Partner and Project Coordinator of Tecburg, said the expo is designed to help Nigerian schools compete on a global level.
“We want to bring international manufacturers of school equipment into Africa, especially Nigeria, so our schools can meet international standards,” she said. “From bags to toys, teaching aids, and uniforms, our goal is to make quality products affordable and easy to get.”
Also speaking at the event, Tecburg owner Mr Ashish Jain noted that Nigeria’s education system has long suffered from a shortage of quality teaching materials.
“Countries that focus on education invest more in innovative tools. SCOFEX brings good products and new technologies that are key to modern learning,” he said.
Jain stressed that the expo is not about selling cheap products but rather affordable quality.
“We are introducing international-standard materials at fair prices. That is what our market and children deserve,” he added.
With events like SCOFEX, education experts hope that Nigeria’s schools will gain access to better resources, thereby improving learning outcomes and preparing students for a competitive future.
