Government Lauds DBI Innovative Contributions to Nigeria

The Digital Bridge Institute (DBI) and its President, Mr David Daser, have been commended by the federal government for their innovative contributions to the country’s digital sector. The commendation was delivered by the Special Assistant to the President on social media, Mr Dada Olusegun, during a courtesy visit to Mr Daser in Abuja. Mrs Theresa Tekena represented him.

A statement by Mr Soji-Ezekiel Fagbemi, Head of Public Affairs at DBI, noted that the visit aimed to extend an invitation to Mr Daser to attend the upcoming Progressive Digital Media Summit as a Distinguished Guest of Honour and to explore a partnership with DBI. According to him, “It is also to seek the partnership of the DBI as the foremost ICT training and digital education institute in the country.”

Mr Olusegun praised the transformation Mr Daser has brought to the DBI within a short period, describing his leadership as exemplary. “Your exemplary leadership as President/CEO of the Digital Bridge Institute, coupled with DBI’s pioneering efforts in delivering world-class ICT training and empowering Nigerians with cutting-edge digital skills, positions you as an inspirational figure for this occasion,” he said.

He added that DBI’s contributions to digital literacy, data analytics, and e-commerce were central to advancing the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda. “We respectfully invite you to share insights on how DBI’s transformative programmes… can amplify the Renewed Hope Agenda, fostering a digitally empowered society through innovative media strategies,” he stated.

Mr Olusegun said Mr Daser’s participation in the summit would not only inspire attendees but also highlight DBI’s key role in shaping the country’s digital future. “Your contributions will inspire participants, reinforce the Summit’s mission of advancing digital innovation, and amplify the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Government,” he said. The summit is expected to attract over 1,000 in-person participants and reach millions virtually.
