The Executive Vice Chairman of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), Khalil Halilu, has called on staff to embrace unity, sportsmanship and innovation as the 2025 NASENI Games commenced in Abuja.
Speaking at the opening ceremony on Monday, October 20, 2025, at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Halilu said the annual event symbolises excellence, innovation, and teamwork within the NASENI family.
“This gathering is not only about sports but about pushing harder, faster, and working together as one NASENI family,” he stated.
He urged participants to compete with integrity and passion, stressing that discipline and unity define success more than medals.
The Chairman of the NASENI Sports Committee, Engr. Bernard Ozigi appreciated the EVC’s commitment to staff welfare, saying the Games foster love, teamwork, and innovation among employees.
The four-day tournament features football, volleyball, badminton, chess, scrabble, table tennis, and lawn tennis, with teams drawn from NASENI institutes and centres nationwide.
