The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Abbas Tajudeen, has paid registration fees for 100 inmates to sit the 2025 NECO and NABTEB examinations in Abuja and Zaria.
As part of the initiative, he also secured the release of nine inmates and donated food items to internally displaced persons (IDPs) at Kabusa Camp.
Abbas said the move reflects a commitment to education, justice, and rehabilitation, stressing the potential for personal transformation among inmates. Cash gifts were also given to inmates pursuing higher education, while medical personnel provided free healthcare to IDPs. His wife and senior aides contributed to the support efforts.
