The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has urged Nigerian schools to adopt the Model Sexual Harassment Policy as part of the efforts to curb sexual harassment in schools. Dr Musa Adamu (Chairman of the ICPC) made the call on Thursday, July 2, 2025, at the Stakeholders’ Engagement on Sexual Harassment Prevention in FCT Higher Education.
The event was organised by the Mandate Secretariat for Education in partnership with the Gender Mobile Initiative and the Commission. Dr Danlami Hayyo, the FCT Mandate Secretary for Education, said sexual harassment can hinder schools from maintaining conducive teaching, learning, and working environments.
