The Kano State Government has dispatched 588 students under the Students Exchange Programme to their respective states for the third term of the 2024/2025 academic year.
Balarabe Abdullahi Kiru, the Director of Public Enlightenment, Kano State Ministry of Education, in a statement he signed, disclosed that the students were transported to Yobe, Adamawa, Bauchi, Kwara, Benue, Gombe, Kaduna, Plateau, Jigawa, Nasarawa, Katsina, Kebbi, Borno, Niger, and Taraba States.
Kiru noted that Kano is among the 17 northern states spearheading the programme to promote unity and understanding of the cultural backgrounds of member states. Auwal Muhammad Mustapha, the ministry’s director of monitoring and evaluation, highlighted that the governor provides the programme with the necessary financial support.
