ITF Begins National SUPA Project Examination

The Industrial Training Fund (ITF) has started the nationwide rollout of the SUPA Project Management Examination to boost skills in project delivery among artisans, craftsmen, and organisations.

The examination, launched in partnership with the Chartered Institute of Project Managers of Nigeria (CIPMN), is part of the second phase of ITF’s Skill-Up Artisans (SUPA) programme. It aims to provide participants with a globally recognised certification to improve service quality across different sectors.

ITF Director-General, Dr Afiz Ogun, who inspected some centres in Abuja yesterday, stated that approximately 100,000 trainees are currently enrolled nationwide. However, he explained that only 30,000 are being assessed per batch because of limited internationally standardised training facilities.

The Council believes the certification will raise professional standards, create more job opportunities, and boost Nigeria’s competitiveness in project execution.
