Kogi Governor Flags Off CCT for Schoolgirls

Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, flags off the Adolescent Girls Initiative for Learning and Empowerment (AGILE) Project Conditional Cash Transfer programme for students.

Alhaji Ahmed Ododo, Kogi State Governor, has flagged off the Conditional Cash Transfer (CCT) Scheme for over 13,359 adolescent girls in the state.

The governor disclosed at the flag-off ceremony of the initiative, which is under the Adolescent Girls Initiative for Learning and Empowerment (AGILE), that the CCT is meant to improve girls’ lives. He noted that the scheme is meant for adolescent girls in Primary 6, JSS1, JSS3, and SS1 across the state. According to him, each student will receive ₦40,000 for registration and transport, plus ₦10,000 payment every term.
