The Kwara State Government has approved a ₦20 billion facility to overhaul basic school infrastructure across the state.
Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq said the funding, secured through the State Executive Council, will be disbursed under the KwaraLEARN initiative and other education support frameworks aimed at improving access to quality learning environments. The governor emphasised the urgency of reversing years of infrastructural neglect, describing the move as a “strategic investment in human capital.” The intervention will prioritise dilapidated schools, especially in rural areas, and is expected to include modern classrooms, sanitation facilities, and teaching materials.
