The Vice-Chancellor of Kwara State University (KWASU), Professor Shaykh-Luqman Alade Jimoh, has recently appointed Dr Tajudeen Yusuf as the new Director of the Centre for Affiliation and Linkages.
Dr Yusuf is an Associate Professor of Arabic in the Department of Arabic and French at Kwara State University (KWASU). His appointment was confirmed in a letter dated June 2, 2025. The letter was signed by Mrs. Josephine Agbana, Deputy Registrar of the Human Resource Division, on behalf of the Registrar, Dr Kikelomo W. Sallee.
He joined the university in January 2011 and has since held several important roles. Before taking on this new position, he served as the Deputy Director at the Centre for Language Immersion and Translation. He has also worked as the GNS Arabic Coordinator, Postgraduate Coordinator for the Arabic Unit, Examination Officer for the Arabic Unit, and the Faculty of Arts representative on the university’s admissions committee.
Dr Yusuf studied Arabic at the university level in Saudi Arabia. He later got a Master’s degree in Teaching Arabic as a Foreign Language in Cairo and then completed his PhD in Arabic Linguistics in Malaysia. His new appointment is expected to help KWASU build stronger academic relationships and grow its partnerships both in Nigeria and abroad.
