KWASU Appoints New Student Leadership Coordinator

The Vice-Chancellor of Kwara State University (KWASU), Professor Shaykh-Luqman Alade Jimoh, has appointed Mr. Aliyu Uthman Abdulkadir as the Coordinator of the Student Leadership and Policy Engagement Unit. The announcement was made in a letter signed by Dr Kikelomo W. Sallee, Registrar, dated June 19, 2025. Popularly known as “Phodeo,” Aliyu is a well-known academic and former student leader. He studied at Kwara State College of Education and later obtained both his B.A. and M.A. from KWASU. Aliyu has held several leadership roles, including NANS Chairman in 2017 and KWASU Alumni President from 2019 to 2024. He became a lecturer in the Department of English and Linguistics at KWASU in 2019. His new role recognises his dedication and contributions to the university. He will now help improve student leadership and engagement under the office of the Vice-Chancellor.
