Prof. Shehu Salau Appointed KWASU Director of Agricultural Sustainability Centre
Prof. Shehu Abdulganiyu Salau has been appointed as the Kwara State University’s (KWASU) Director of the Centre for Agricultural Sustainability and Transformation.
His approval by Prof. Shaykh-Luqman Alade Jimoh, the vice chancellor, was confirmed on November 18, 2025, in a letter also signed by the registrar.
The director is a professor of Agricultural Economics with over fifteen years of experience in tertiary education, research administration, and rural/community development.
He is well-versed in agricultural economics, holding a Doctorate’s Degree in Agricultural Economics and two Master’s Degrees (MBA and MSc) in the same discipline from the University of Ilorin (UNILORIN).
Salau has also served in various academic and administrative capacities at KWASU, including head of department, sub-dean, Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) Chairman, and a member of different committees.
