Lagos State Launches Online Recruitment for Teachers

The Lagos State Universal Basic Education Board (LASUBEB) has opened its recruitment portal for teaching positions across the state, with approval from Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu.

In a statement, the board said the exercise is part of the administration’s efforts to improve the quality of education in Lagos. Interested and qualified candidates can apply exclusively online at https://subebjobs.lagosstate.gov.ng; physical submissions are not accepted.

The recruitment is open to candidates holding relevant teaching qualifications, including Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE), Bachelor’s or Master’s degrees in Education, Higher National Diploma (HND) with PGDE, or equivalent combinations. Applicants must also provide their O-Level certificates, degree certificates, and NCE certificates, as well as their NYSC discharge or exemption certificates, where applicable. LASUBEB stressed that certificates or results issued more than two years ago will not be accepted.

Currently, the only advertised position is for Classroom Teachers. The application period closes on October 13, 2025, and the portal will shut down on October 14, 2025.

LASUBEB warned that the exercise is free of charge and urged applicants to be cautious of fraudulent schemes. The recruitment forms part of broader efforts to address teacher shortages and enhance learning standards across Lagos State.
