Makinde Raises LAUTECH Hospital Subvention

Governor Seyi Makinde has increased the monthly subvention to Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Teaching Hospital, Ogbomoso, by N35 million to ease its financial challenges.

The governor announced on Tuesday during a meeting with professional bodies at the hospital over their ongoing strike. He assured them that his administration was committed to restoring industrial harmony and improving healthcare delivery in the state.

As part of immediate interventions, Makinde approved the constitution of a Governing Council for the hospital, the integration of 65 security personnel as ad-hoc staff with a stipend of N80,000 each, and the settlement of promotion arrears worth N219 million in three instalments from October to December 2025. He also promised to clear arrears of the new minimum wage covering January to August 2025 within the same period.

Makinde later visited the Soun of Ogbomoso, where he pledged to reconstruct key inner roads in the town, further assuring residents of his government’s commitment to development.
