Leadway Group has successfully trained and graduated 33 young Nigerians from its 13-month tech programme, which was designed to increase the number of skilled digital talents in the country. The fully sponsored programme focused on Frontend, Backend Programming, and Data Analytics, combining classroom sessions with mentorship and industry experience.
The graduation ceremony took place in Kaduna on August 19, 2025. Speaking at the event, Kunbi Adeoti, Chief People Experience Officer at Leadway, said the initiative was about more than producing developers. “It is about nurturing problem-solvers who will create solutions for businesses, communities, and the wider economy,” she noted.
Additionally, Celestina Okere, Head of Learning and Development, explained that the project would help bridge Nigeria’s digital divide. She explained that technology is changing various industries, and equipping young people with the right skills is crucial for them to remain relevant.
The programme also demonstrates Leadway’s strong commitment to youth empowerment and nation-building, as the graduates are now better equipped to play active roles in Nigeria’s growing tech sector.
